On 8 March 2024, at the 55th session of the Human Rights Council, His Excellency Ambassador Dara In, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the United Nations and other International Organisations in Geneva, delivered a statement at Item 3 Interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, focusing on current issues and good practices in prison management.    The Ambassador highlighted the Royal Government’s mechanisms for the prohibition and prevention of all forms of torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment against individual, including judicial reform, out-of-court dispute resolution and pro bono legal aid and measures for reducing prison overcrowding.
